29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries. a) This violation was observed on or about April 17, 2023, on the west wall of the facility north of the paint booth, where a fire extinguisher was blocked by a large floor fan and other material in the shop. b) This violation was observed on or about April 17, 2023, on the north end of the facility near the plasma table, where a fire extinguisher was mounted but did not have marking indicating the location of the fire extinguisher. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure fire extinguishers are mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible.
