Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): The employer did not provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury: On or about April 5, 2023, and at times prior thereto, the fire extinguisher in the maintenance department was blocked by a welding curtain. Employees were exposed to fire hazards. Dollar General Distribution was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.151(c)(1) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1461290, Citation 1, Item 3 that was issued on August 5, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1415 Ellis Avenue, Jackson, MS, 39212. Final Order Date was August 31, 2020.
