29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. Location: 3 Aston Court, Andover, MA; On or about 03/17/2023, the foreman was witnessed accessing an upper level with a portable extension ladder which did not extend 3-feet above the surface which he was gaining access to. Yanez Framing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1478439, citation number 1, item number 1-b and was affirmed as a final order on 02/09/2021, with respect to a workplace located at Northgate Meadows Subdivision, Leominster Road, Leominster, MA 01564.
