29 CFR 1910.141(a)(5): Enclosed workplaces were not so constructed, equipped, and maintained to prevent the entrance or harborage of rodents, insects, or other vermin. An effective extermination program was not in place. (a) Family Dollar located at 5648 Lancaster Avenue Philadelphia, PA - On or about December 29, 2022, the employer did not ensure an effective extermination program was in place to prevent the harborage of rodents and other vermin including mice, exposing employees to health hazards. Family Dollar Stores Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.141(a)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1339655, citation number 1, item number 1-b, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/29/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1274 Westchester Avenue, Bronx, NY 10459.
