Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. The employer does not protect each employee from the hazards of falling by the use of a training program that enables each employee to recognize the hazards of falling. This most recently occurred on September 20, 200 on the job site located at 9062 Mitchell Crossing, Plain City, OH 43064. The employer failed to provide a training program for employees exposed to hazards while performing residential construction framing at heights exceeding 6 feet. Jerry M. Turnbaugh was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent, CFR 1926.503(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1292941, citation number 2, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 7566 Kelly Drive, Dublin, OH 43016.
