29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On September 15, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, portable ladders used by employees to access and egress the roof, measuring approximately 9 feet from ground to eve, were not extended to have the side rails extend at least three (3) feet above the roofline. b) On September 16, 2022, at the above addressed jobsite, portable ladders used by employees to access and egress the roof, measuring approximately 9 feet 10 inches from ground to eve, were not extended to have the side rails extend at least three (3) feet above the roofline. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item. AM Restoration Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1582757, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 7, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 501 Prairie Avenue, Wheaton, Illinois. AM Restoration Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29CFR 1926. 1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1409510, citation number 2, item number 5, and was affirmed as a final order on November 19, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 3712 Celeste Lane in Naperville, Illinois. AM Restoration Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1302488, citation number 1, item number 7a, and was affirmed as a final order on April 19, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 546 Marion Street in Oak Park, Illinois.
