Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings are not effectively closed: a) The employer fails to ensure effective measures to prevent electrocution hazards as demonstrated on or about June 3, 2022, in the back stockroom, where employees turn on and off store lights. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that all unused openings in electrical cabinets are effectively closed. Dolgencorp, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(b)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1280975, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 7/16/18, with respect to a workplace located at 700 West End Ave Carthage, NY 13619.
