29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about May 5, 2022, on the northeast side of the site, the employee was repairing a drainage line in an excavation that was five feet or more in-depth with inadequate means of protection. Grady Crawford Construction Co, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.651(j)(2) which was contained in: A) OSHA Inspection #1573232, citation number 1, item number 4, with a citation issued April 11, 2022, and was affirmed as a final order on April 29, 2022, concerning a workplace located at Essen Lane and Suma Blvd/5063 Essen Lane, BATON ROUGE, LA 70814.
