29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, personal fall arrest system, or provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 On or about July 2, 2021, the employer, at the address of 2204 Farm View Court in Toledo, Ohio, did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards while nailing roofing material to the roof of a residential home. Employees working in this manner were exposed to falls of approximately nine feet seven inches at minimum from the eave of the roof to the ground below. Gedert Roofing & Repair LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1479667, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 20, 2020 with respect to a workplace located at 110 East Back Bay in Bowling Green, Ohio. Gedert Roofing & Repair LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1428244, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 14, 2019 with respect to a workplace located at 3516 Nordic Way Drive in Maumee Ohio.
