29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998] On or about 06-14-2021, and times prior thereto, located at Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, 701 E Byrd Street Richmond, Virginia 23219, employee(s) were exposed to chemicals that were extremely corrosive and destructive to tissue. The plumbed emergency eyewash station was blocked by pallets of bulk supply and had no inspection/testing documentation and was not suitable for emergency use. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
