29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii):Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a. On or about March 3, 2021, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while using a Vartek press brake without a guard to protect employees from the point of operation. b. On or about March 3, 2021, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while using a Masteel press brake without a guard to protect employees from the point of operation. Summit Steel Fabricators, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1460564, citation number 1, item number 10 and was affirmed as a final order on July 31, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 2004 Federal Rd Houston, TX 77015.
