29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about November 10, 2020, at a worksite near the intersection of FM 517 and Calder Drive, Dickinson, TX, employees were exposed to a cave-in hazard while performing water and sewage transfer line work in a trench exceeding a depth of five feet without an adequate protective system. R Construction Civil, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1421680, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on November 05, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at Harris County MUD #287, SH 99 and Peek Road, Katy, TX 77449.
