29 CFR 1926.300(c): Employees using hand and power tools and exposed to the hazard of falling, flying, abrasive, or splashing objects, or exposed to harmful dusts, fumes, mists, vapors, or gases were not provided with the particular personal protective equipment necessary to protect them from the hazard. (a) Blue Chip Construction LLC / Blue Chip Housing LLC, on or about February 21st, 2020, at the location of 827 Weadock Ave., Lima, OH, 45804: The employer did not ensure that an employee operating a portable circular saw was protected from flying objects striking the eyes through the use of a face shield or eye protection. Blue Chip Construction, LLC was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent occupational safety and health standard [1926.95(a)(1)] which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1410019, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/14/2019 with respect to a workplace located at 833 N. Main St., Lima, OH, 45801.
