29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 09 September 2019, at a jobsite located at 1976 IL-25, Oswego IL. 60573, employees who were removing and replacing a roof on a church were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 25 feet. Fall protection was not being utilized. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d). Aaron's Roofing, Siding and Construction Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1110481, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/28/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 5619 N. 2nd St. Loves Park, IL. 61111.
