29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: On or about 9/11/2019, throughout the facility, employees were exposed to smoke inhalation and burn hazards where the employer failed to ensure there were signs for the direction of travel to the nearest fire exit as the line-of sight to an exit door was not clearly visible. Locations included but were not limited to the parts department. Mavis Tire Supply Corporation dba Mavis Discount Tires was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910/37(b)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1135880, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/11/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 343 South Ave East Westfield, New Jersey 07090.
