Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.452(c)(6): Scaffolds over 125 feet (38.0 m) in height above their base plates were not designed by a registered professional engineer, and were not constructed and loaded in accordance with such design: a) 15 Chetwynd Terrace, At the Chetwynd Water Tower, Livingston, NJ. Employees were exposed to falls of up to 156 feet to the ground below from the fabricated frame scaffold which encircled the water tower as the scaffold could potentially exhibit structural problems given that the scaffold was only approved by a P.E. for containment use and not for workers using it to blast and paint the water tower. Violation observed on or about 08/02/2019.
