29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(B): Each affected employee shall be instructed in the purpose and use of the energy control procedure. a. On or before March 26, 2019, the employer did not ensure that each employee, who was involved in the operations of the 1675 Wean United Youngstown Foundry & Machine aluminum extrusion press (press 2; model: 7"-1675 ton press; S/N: 38876) in the extrusion department where energy control procedures were utilized, was instructed about the procedure and about the prohibition relating to attempts to restart or reenergize machines or equipment which were locked/tagged out.
