29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 306 Lake Street, Lakehurst NJ: Workers, not using fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 11 feet to the ground surface below when performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace, and other related activities from a residential structure's pitched roof. Condition observed on or about 02/14/19. Perfection Roofing & Siding, Inc. was previously cited for a Repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1059881, citation number 1, item number 2(b) and was affirmed as a final order on 08/07/15, with respect to a workplace located at 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
