29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a. On or about 11/19/2018, the portable fire extinguisher along the southwest wall in the warehouse area and roll up doors, was blocked by a swinging gate and equipment. b. On or about 11/19/2018, the portable fire extinguisher along the southeast wall of the warehouse, was blocked by a furniture cart and furniture being stored in the area. c. On or about 11/19/2018, the portable fire extinguisher on the west interior wall, in the show room area, was blocked by a standing fan and portable dolly. d. On or about 11/19/2018, the portable fire extinguisher on the northeast corner of the showroom, was blocked by a standing fan and metal cabinet. American Freight Furniture and Mattress was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1296083, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/20/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2410 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse, NY 13214.
