29 CFR 1926.651(c)(2): A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress was not located in trench excavations that were 4 feet (1.22m) or more in depth so as to require no more than 25 feet (7.62m) of lateral travel for employees: a) On or about October 25, 2018 through October 29, 2018 at Curtis Hall, 2001 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia during the excavation to locate a data line that was buried next the Curtis Hall, workers were lowered into to the trench in the bucket of a backhoe. The employer failed to provide a safe means of access/egress in a trench that was approximately 9 feet deep and 3 feet wide.
