29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(ii): The employer did not ensure that each operator of a forklift received initial training in workplace-related topics listed in 1910.178(l)(3)(ii)[A] - [I] of this section: (a) BASF Corporation, at 10601 Fulton Street, Brighton, CO: On and preceding 6/29/18, the employer did not ensure that each operator of a forklift received initial training in workplace-related topics listed in 1910.178(l)(3)(ii)[A] - [I] of this section. Employees operated a Toyota model BFGC70U 14,000 pound capacity powered industrial truck to move "pots" of product, weighing approximately 4,600 to 5,400 pounds, in constricted areas of the Finish Mix area. The employer did not ensure that all employees received training on the operation of this powered industrial truck in the work conditions of the Finish Mix area when moving "pots". This condition potentially exposed employees to a struck-by hazard.
