Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use: On or about June 5, 2018, at 5944 Peachtree Corners East, Norcross, Georgia: Employees performing warehouse work were working with chemicals which include but are not limited to motor oil, engine coolant, anti-freeze, and battery acid (sulfuric acid). The employer did not maintain safety data sheets on the jobsite to inform employees how to recognize and minimize those chemical hazards. Parts Authority was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1263275, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 30, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1601 Bronxdale Avenue, Bronx, New York, 10462.
