29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): a) The employer did not ensure that power industrial trucks found to be in need of repair, defective, or anyway unsafe be taken out of service until restored to a safe operating condition. This violation occurred on or about May 9, 2018; when employees operated a Toyota forklift, model 7FDU70, SN 60239 that found to be in need of repair/defective had not been taken out of service. The Venture Metals, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.178(p)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1085029, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/20/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1970 Crown Road, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.
