Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. On or about November 07, 2017, at the above referenced worksite, employees had not been provided effective training to recognize and minimize the hazards associated with falls prior to being assigned to residential roofing operations on a sloped roof. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of up to 19 feet. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
