29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. On or about October 23, 2017, employees were utilizing a 24-foot Werner extension ladder to access the scaffold. The ladder was only extended one foot and not secured to prevent accidental displacement and employees were being exposed to a 11.5 feet fall hazard. Florida's Frame Pro, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1112557, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on January 20, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 601 Division Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Florida's Frame Pro, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 978245, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on July 16, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2140 LPGA Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
