29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about October 19, 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 6 feet to the ground level below, while working along a stone retaining wall without using fall protection. Del Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 975699, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on June 27, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 3819 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78218.
