Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a. On or about August 29, 2017, at the above referenced worksite, Employees had not been provided effective training to recognize and minimize the hazards associated with falls prior to being assigned to residential roofing operations on a two story sloped roof. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of up to 15 feet. Baney Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1243456, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 8/7/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 6422-6428 Oak Crest Lane, Loves Park, Illinois 61111. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
