29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c). Excavation Site: On or about July 13, 2017; three employees were working in excavation without any form of cave-in protection. This condition exposed employees to cave-in hazards. El Paso Underground Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 672418, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on February 19, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at Desert Springs Unit #1, Trans-Mountain & Northwestern Dr., North side of Highway, El Paso, TX 79912.
