29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The employer is failing to protect employees from struck by hazards associated with using a bench grinder with an improperly adjusted tongue guard. The most recent occurrence of this was found at the facility located at 1310 Fort Crook Road North, Bellevue, NE where the employer has maintenance employees using the bench grinder with the tongue guard adjusted to ½ inch to sharpen tools. The Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215 (b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1041771, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 4/23/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 150 Boulder Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031
