29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): The employer did not provide and ensure the usage of point of operation guards or properly applied point of operation devices on every operation performed on mechanical power press(es): American Fine Sinter Co., Ltd. - Tiffin, OH: On or about March 23, 2017, point of operation devices located on the #AI-80-02 Aida sizing press (s/n 10408-0930) were not used during press operation. When running test parts following a new press setup, both employees were not protected from point of operation hazards. American Fine Sinter Co., Ltd. was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.217(c)(3)(iii)(f), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 946925, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 10, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 957 N. Maule Rd., Tiffin, OH 44883.
