29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On February 13, 2017, employees performing masonry work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 14.4 feet. The Dream Wall, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 908508, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 20, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 1740 W. Julian St., Chicago, IL 60622. The Dream Wall, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 190157, citation number 2, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on March 1, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1631-1645 N. Milwaukee Ave., Glenview, IL 60025. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
