29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about February 4, 2017, employees performing masonry work on the third floor of a building under construction were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 25 feet. Polo Masonry Builders, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1073143, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 8, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2532 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60618.
