29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Hazard communication training was not provided for chemicals, such as, but no limited to, mold release agent and the sulfur. No training was provided regarding the safety data sheets (SDS), how to access these during the workshift and the order of information contained in the SDS. No training was provided on the GHS (Globally Harmonized System) label format (including pictograms, signal word, hazard statements, and precautionary statements) on labels received on shipped containers. Also, training was not provided on the workplace labeling system used by the employer, nor was training provided on the employer's written hazard communication program. The Linear Rubber Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.2011(h), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 107544, citation number one (1), item number ten (10) and was affirmed as a final order on February 16, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 5416 46th St., Kenosha WI 53144.
