29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks are not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: Employees are exposed to struck-by hazards and the employer does not ensure that compressed gas cylinders, stored outside, by the overhead doors, are secured to prevent the cylinders from being knocked over or damaged, as equipment and trucks are moved through the overhead door. The last occurrence of this violation was observed on September 1, 2016. To abate this violation, the employer ensure that compressed gas cylinders are stored in compliance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including a copy of the site-specific program detailing the procedures used to ensure compliance and training of employees. I-80 Equipment, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.101(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1068975, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 120 Walnut Ln. in Colona, IL.
