Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, or uprights did not bear on base plates, mud sills or other adequate firm foundation: On or about 4/23/2015, at 1530 Joy Lane, Decatur, GA; at the side left and left front of the building, where the site conditions were visibly wet and muddy; an employee of another company was observed performing measuring operations from a two buck masons scaffold erected by B&C Masonry that did not rest upon mud sills that were stable or level. The employee was exposed to falls of 11 feet, six (6) inches to the lower level. B&C Masonry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(c)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314210717, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 8/1/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 845 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
