29 CFR 1926.652(g)(2): The employer does not ensure that each employee in an excavation is protected from cave-ins by maintaining material at a level no greater than 2 feet (.61m) below the bottom of a shield: (a) Peachmont Farms, Marburger Road, Evans City, PA 16033: The employer does not ensure that each employee working in a trench excavation is protected from cave-ins by maintaining material at a level no greater than 2 feet (.61m) below the bottom of a shield. This violation was documented on March 30, 2105 at a site located at Peachmont Farms, Marburger Road, Evans City, PA where employees were working 4-5 feet below the bottom of the trench shield. To abate this violation the employer must ensure that each selected trench shield be installed within 2 feet of the bottom of the trench. (b) Peachmont Farms, Marburger Road, Evans City, PA 16033: The employer does not ensure that each employee working in a trench excavation is protected from cave-ins by maintaining material at a level no greater than 2 feet (.61m) below the bottom of a shield. This violation was most recently observed on March 31, 2015 at a site located at Peachmont Farms, Marburger Road, Evans City, PA where employees were working 4-5 feet below the bottom of the trench shield.
