29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a) On or about 03/06/15 at Mezzainine #3; Sanitation crew employees cleaned the spiral conveyor transition roller while the conveyor was operational. Employer failed to train employees on recognizing the need to lock out the spiral conveyor prior to performing this cleaning operation exposing the employees to caught between hazards. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Wegman's Food Markets, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147 (c) (7) (i) (A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315500165, Citation Number 2, Item Number 4b, Repeat, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/8/12, with respect to a workplace located at 1500 Brooks Avenue, Rochester, New York, 14624.
