29 CFR 1910.1052(l)(1): Employee information and training. The employer shall provide information and training for each affected employee prior to or at the time of initial assignment to a job involving potential exposure to Methylene chloride (MC). On or about November 7, 2023, to March 7, 2024, at an establishment located at 724 South Industrial Drive in Waupaca, Wisconsin, in the stripping room; the employer did not provide information and training for each affected employee prior to or at the time of initial assignment to a job involving potential exposure to Methylene chloride (MC). Employees were exposed to MC while stripping wood furniture with methylene chloride-containing paint stripper [i.e., Benco Sales B7 industrial paint remover, 70-80% by weight].
