Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001D Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.134(k): The employer did not provide effective training annually to employees who are required to use a respirator: a) Firing Range, Dip Tank, and Polishing Areas: Henry RAC Holding Corp., 59 East 1st Street, Bayonne, NJ 07002 The employer failed to provide training to workers to include but not limited the use, care and limitations of respiratory protection. Employees are required to use half mask negative pressure respirators equipped with HEPA filters for protection against airborne lead and corrosives such as but not limited to sodium hydroxide found in oxiblak. Lead contamination was found throughout the facility to include 432.05 ug in the facepiece of an employee half mask respirator. Conditions noted on or about 09/21/2012 and 12/14/2012. Henry RAC Holding Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(k), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312480676, citaiton number 1, item number 3d and was affirmed as a final order on 11/15/2008, with respect to a workplace located at 110 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215.
