29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: Location: Jobsite 788 Main St, Hudson, MA On October 25, 2024, employees were exposed to falls from heights up to 15 feet to a lower level while accessing an upper landing surface where an extension ladder was used to access the roof where the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the edge of the roof. SB Roofing & Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1662287, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/4/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 518 Main St, West Newbury, MA.
