29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area. As referenced in 29 CFR 1926.59. Site: 2186 Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn, NY. a) On or about 8/24/2022, employees were coating the roof top and coping the parapet wall, and were exposed to chemicals from the coating and coping materials used. The employer did not provide training on the hazards associated with the chemicals used at the site.
