29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Warehouse Area: Employees work with hazardous chemicals and substances, including, but not limited to, propane, acetylene, oxygen, Autran synthetic automatic transmission fluid, Permtex brake & part cleaner, Rust-Oleum Multi-purpose cleaner, and Sunoco Ultra 80w90 oil. The employer did not provide training on safe measures employees can take to protect themselves when using hazardous chemicals and substances, thus exposing employees to chemical hazards, on or about, 10/17/16.
