29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): The employer did not have material safety data sheets (MSDS sheets) for the hazardous chemicals, products, or materials employees may be exposed to in the workplace, as part of the employers Hazard Communication Program: a) Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) were not provided and made accessible to employees for products/ chemicals/ materials the employer uses during concrete construction activities such as: --- Form Oil vapors when applying the oil and when removing the forms. --- Carbon Monoxide exposure when operating kerosene heaters in enclosed tented spaces to heat the underside of newly poured concrete floors to keep them from freezing during cold weather. Abatement note: The written Hazard Communication program describes how criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200 (f),(g), and (h), will be met, including: (e) Employers written HazCom Program. (f) Container labels and other forms of warning. (g) Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). (h) Employee information and Training. Location: 81 Fleet Place, Brooklyn, N.Y; construction worksite.
