Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about April 3, 2025, at a worksite located at 830 West Cecil Street in Neenah, Wisconsin; the employer did not develop and implement a fall protection training program to enable employees exposed to fall hazards while removing asphalt roof shingles and underlayment on a two-story residence to recognize the hazard of falling and the procedures to follow to minimize those hazards. Gervin Josue Fuentes Quintanilla dba Fuentes Roofing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1660615, citation number 1, item number 1-b, and was affirmed as a final order on June 27, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1908 E. Ashbury Drive in Appleton, Wisconsin.
