29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Employees were not protected from excavated or other materials or equipment that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary. On or about September 18, 2024, by a restaurant drive-through lane, employees were installing a grease tank in an excavation, that was unprotected from equipment, machinery, spoil piles, and tools/parts that could fall or roll into the excavation.
