29 CFR 1910.29(b)(1): The employer did not ensure that guardrail systems met the requirement that the top edge height of top rails, or equivalent guardrail system members, be 42 inches, plus or minus 3 inches, above the walking-working surface: a) Powder Room 1, Elevated Work Platform: Employees were exposed to an approximate seven foot fall hazard while working on the elevated work platform, and the top rail of the chain guardrail was less than 42 inches (plus or minus 3 inches) above the walking-working surface, on or about September 17, 2024. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED ABATEMENT NOTE: The top edge of the top rail must be installed at a height of 42 inches (plus or minus 3 inches), and the midrail must be installed at a height midway between the top edge of the guardrail system and the walking-working surface.
