29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals, and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, will provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: On April 29, 2024, at a facility located at 206 Charles Street, Oconto, WI 54153; the employer did not ensure each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier or any information regarding the hazards of the chemicals. In the Finishing and Lamination departments, unlabeled plastic open top buckets contained acetone (Category 2 flammable liquid) were used to submerge portions of rags, brushes, and tools. In the Lamination department, unlabeled plastic open top buckets contained the mixture of resin and hardener used to layup fiberglass. The containers were not labeled with the identities or hazards of the chemicals within. In the Small Parts Finishing department, 5-gallon buckets and 1-gallon buckets contained Gel Coat chemical. Some containers were labeled with the identity of the chemical within but were not labeled with the chemical's hazards; other containers were not labeled with either. The Marine Technology Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1512596, citation number 1, item number 9 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 206 Charles Street, Oconto, WI 54153.
