29 CFR 1910.107(e)(2): The quantity of flammable liquids or liquids with a flashpoint greater than 199.4 degrees F (93 degrees C) kept in the vicinity of spraying operations were not a minimum required for operations or they exceeded a supply for one day or one shift. (a) Facility at 310 Bourne Avenue (building 50) in Rumford, RI: On or about March 13, 2024, employees were exposed to explosion and fire hazards from inadequate storage of flammable liquids such as two 55-gallon drums of 8040 MVP resin with a flashpoint of 89 degrees F, within approximately twelve inches of a makeshift paint booth that consisted of a pop-up canopy, with a polyester top, and sheets of plastic for the walls to separate spray operations. Amaral Custom Fabrications Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.107(e)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1670157, citation number 1, item number 2c and was affirmed as a final order on 12/13/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 310 Bourne Avenue (building 50) in Rumford, RI.
