29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a. On or about January 14, 2022, the employer did not instruct employees on the avoidance of unsafe conditions while employees installed framing lumber on top of the unprotected side/edge of the second floor level of a new build residential home. The employees were exposed to a fall distance of 10 feet 11 inches to the gravel ground level as a result. EVT Building LLC was previously cited for a repeat serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1559472, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02 DECEMBER 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 3779 Mystic Way, Lot 134, Grove City, Ohio 43123. EVT Building LLC was previously cited for a serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1475141, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 24 JUNE 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 5203 Meadowsview Ln, Lot #50, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
