29 CFR 1910.1026(h)(1): A hazard was present or was likely to be present from skin or eye contact with chromium (VI); however, the employer did not provide appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment at no cost to employees, and/or did not ensure that employees used such clothing and equipment: a) Building 2: On or about May 03, 2021, the employer did not ensure that affected employees in the Paint Shop Room and Etch Line Room were provided and using the appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, chemical-resistant gloves and impervious aprons while performing electroplating, painting, and paint removal tasks to protect from chromium (VI) hazards. b) Building 11: On or about April 28, 2021, the employer did not ensure that affected employees in the CAD Plating Shop were provided and using the appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, chemical-resistant gloves and impervious aprons while performing plating operations to protect from chromium (VI) hazards.
